Our History

“Telex Hearing Care started in the 1950’s in George St Sydney. At that time everyone went to the city to shop. There were no suburban shopping plazas, only a local butcher, greengrocer and milk bar. Telex Hearing, which in the early stages was owned by Phonak® (Hearing aid Manufacturer) decided to setup some offices in the suburbs of Hurstville, Parramatta & Northern Beaches region.

Telex Hearing Care was first operated under the Gillespie name in 1990. The clinic was owned and operated by myself on Phillips St, Parramatta in the St. George's Terrace (pictured below right). The clinic focused on performing hearing assessment and fitting hearing devices. Today, Telex Hearing Care has retained family ownership seeing 3 generations in hearing care, which we are very proud of."
